Summer Reading Program

Our Saturday programs for Summer Reading are as follows: (all are 11 am)

June 1^st- Summer Reading Program kickoff—book pledges, introduction and scavenger hunt.

June 8^th- “Aunt Amy’s Balloons” –carnival themed with games/activities

June 15^th- Sidewalk art day –we will decorate our sidewalk and parking lot. Please park cars in the gravel this day. In the event of inclement weather we will decorate a mural to hang.

June 22^nd – Kelli Harris of the Extension office will put on a STEM program

June 29^th – Dr. Elliot DeBlieck of Scotland County Memorial Hospital will be putting on a program

July 6^th – James and Katie Dockery of the Outdoor Skills of America Inc. will be putting on a nature program

July 13^th – “My favorite book is…” –Children will be encouraged to share their favorite books with others.

July 20^th – Wrap Up/Game Day –We will have outdoor games to play like cornhole and sidewalk chalk, hopscotch, jump rope, etc (weather permitting) and wrap up the Summer Reading Program and display book worms and award prizes to those who met their pledges.
